The Brief:
The brief was clear but with room for creative interpretation: incorporate two key elements into the design—an old red phone box and a stag head. The red phone box, a classic British symbol, is an iconic feature in the venue’s interior, while the stag head is a prominent part of the bar’s decor. Both elements had to be blended seamlessly into the larger branding, creating a design that felt connected to the venue’s character while also being appealing and unique for the product itself.
Our Approach:
We began by taking inspiration from the venue’s atmosphere, blending the traditional British imagery of the red phone box with the rugged, rustic aesthetic of the stag head. The challenge was to combine these two elements in a way that felt balanced and fresh, not too literal but still instantly recognisable. After exploring different concepts, we crafted a design that brought both elements together in a modern, stylised way, ensuring that the final product felt cohesive and aligned with Loom’s branding.
Final Design & Implementation:
Once the design was approved, custom pump lenses were created to display the larger design prominently at the bar, making it easily recognisable to customers. In addition, we designed posters to promote the new branded lager, which helped generate excitement and draw attention to this new offering.
